FINANCIAL BASE
The company has a paid up share capital of
N1,000,000.00 and can conveniently finance
projects to the tune of N3b (three billion
Naira) at any given time. In very extreme
cases, however, financial support could be
sought from our bankers with whom we have
very cordial relationship.

accommodation for workers. Our Hospital
Retainership take care of the health need of

We maintain an ultra-modern well equipped
truck/equipment repair workshop at 27 Ada
George Road off Agip Road in Port Harcourt.
Our 24 hour roll-on maintenance crew could
in 5 hours attend and effect repairs
anywhere at any of our project sites while
our subsidiary Caterpillar Masters W.A
Limited procures and supplies all spare
parts needed for efficient operations.
ASPHALT PLANT COMPLEX
This is one of the best ultra modern Asphalt
Plant Complex in Nigeria. Straddled on about
20 hectares of land along Km 16 Port
Harcourt – Owerri Expressway Obinze, in
Owerri West Local Government Area, the plant
has ultra modern office complex, 100kva
generating plant, staff quarters, shopping
complex, borehole water system, annex a
filling station and as well as a security
post. Borne out of the need for asphalt –
outsourcing at low cost for all diverse
projects at various locations in Nigeria,
the plant is estimated to produce a minimum
60 to 90 tons of asphalt per hour. It is
also expected to provide much needed asphalt
for our contemporaries in the construction
industry.
ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY
The Board of Directors takes ultimate
responsibility for meeting clients quality
targets, and have delegated this
responsibility to each operating locations.
The company’s management as represented by
its officers recognizes its responsibilities
for fulfilling and promoting the highest
standard of quality and safety. CASHES
POLICY (Community Safety, Health,
Environment and Security), development and
maintenance of appropriate systems,
procedures, plants and programme to achieve
the company’s set objectives.
SAFETY/SECURITY
In New Idea Construction, we recognize the
importance of safety in our operations, in
this regard, at each site a dedicated CASHES
officer whose duty will be to ensure all
CASHES measures put in place are strictly
adhered to by all. He also improve on the
workers awareness towards CASHES via regular
safety briefings, tool box meetings,
auditing of work methods and revision of
work procedures.
Forthnightly, site safety meetings are held
to review the importance and benefits of
working safely in a clean and healthy
environment. The meeting will adequately
highlight the hazards of ongoing projects
and provide a clear understanding of risk
levels. Other matters arising are also
discussed. It is obligatory for all workers
on site to attend. Minutes of such meetings
are documented and copies sent to clients.
Unsafe act audit are carried out regularly
and documented. Near misses are also
documented and reported.
New Idea Construction holds the security of
its men, material and equipment in a very
high esteem. We recognize the importance of
safe guarding these assets for the smooth
running of our operation as any security
lapse could be costly in terms of time and
money. We therefore, strive to ensure that
day and night guards are maintained at
strategic points in any project. Adequate
armed security personnel are engaged to man
camp sites and offices. Employee should have
company identity card and their movement
restricted in off-shore operations and
hostile communities. |
